​ Scholarships for Grade 11 Students

If integrity, determination, and courage describe you – you have what it takes to be  Horatio Alger Scholar.  These scholarships reward students who possess the character to succeeed in life.  It helps students overcome the financial barriers to pursue higher education.  To qualify, you must have at least a 70% average and require financial assistance to attend university.  To learn more and apply, visit horatioalgerscholarships

The eligibility criteria to be considered for Horatio Alger National Entrepreneurial and Canadian Scholarships are as follows:

  • Be ernolled full-time as a high school grade 11 student
  • Exhibit a strong commitment to pursue and complete a bachelor’s degree at an accredited non-profit public or private instituion in Canada
  • Demonstrate critical financial need ($65,000 or lower adjusted gross family income is required)
  • Be involved in co-curricular and community serivce activities
  • Display integrity and perserverance in overcoming adversity
  • Hold a minimum average of 70%
  • Be a Canadian citizen
