Choosing a college or university is a big decision, and an Open House is one of the best ways to find out whether a school feels like the right fit. Students can tour campuses and residences, explore programs and facilities, meet faculty and current students, and ask questions about admissions, scholarships, student supports, athletics, campus life and career opportunities.
Open Houses can also have some valuable extras. Several Maritime institutions offer application-fee waivers or discounts, on-the-spot or accelerated admission decisions, scholarships, prizes and other benefits for students who attend. Grade 11 and 12 students are encouraged to take advantage of these opportunities whenever possible.
