SCHOOL REGISTRATION EXTENDED!

We invite your school to register for the Canadian Medical Hall of Fame’s Discovery Day in Health Sciences, hosted by Dalhousie University on, Wednesday, November 20, 2024.

Discovery Day will allow high school students (grades 10 and 11) to explore careers in medicine and health sciences. Participants will attend a dynamic keynote lecture, take part in two interactive workshops (pre-selected from a catalogue of options) and join in a discussion with a diverse panel of academics, researchers and health-care professionals who’ll share all about their careers.

For a high school student to participate, your high school must be registered by a teacher or guidance counsellor willing to act as the liaison between the Discovery Day planning team and those interested. As a liaison you are welcome to attend but you are not required to do so for your students to attend.

The deadline to register a school is now WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 16, 2024. Learn more about Discovery Day and Register your School!

On October 17, 2024, at noon, all schools registered will receive an email indicating the number of available spots per school (still unknown until confirmation of workshops available), as well as the link your selected students must use to register for the day and the workshops they are interested in.

As in the past, student registration will extend over three weeks. During the first two, starting on October 17 a limited number of students per school can register (this number depends on the total spots available for the event divided into the number of registered schools). On October 24, the limit will be removed, allowing for additional students to register.

Please note that registering your school does not guarantee spaces for specific workshops, nor does it obligate you to have students registered.
