The Faculty of Engineering at UNB Fredericton is excited to host Go ENG Girl 2024 on November 23rd, from 10:00 am to 3:30 pm at Head Hall. This nationwide event introduces girls and non-binary youth in Grades 7-12 to the exciting world of engineering through fun, hands-on activities.
Participants will connect with female-identifying engineers, from undergraduate students to professionals, who will share their experiences and insights. Our goal is to inspire students to explore science and engineering, keeping future STEM opportunities open.
This year, we’re partnering with Makers Making Change for the Hacking for the Holidays initiative, where participants will adapt toys for children with disabilities across Canada. This “Empathy in Engineering” activity helps students see the real-world impact of engineering and builds confidence in their problem-solving abilities.
The event is free and includes lunch, snacks, and take-home swag. A parent session will also be held in the afternoon. For more details, visit our website or register directly here.
