UNB ranked #1 in Atlantic Canada by TIME
We are proud to announce that the University of New Brunswick was named the number one university in Atlantic Canada in TIME magazine’s inaugural 2026 World’s Top Universities rankings, published on Jan. 28. Application Deadlines
With our general application deadline set for March 31, now is an ideal time for students to apply and be considered for early admission. Early admission offers many advantages, particularly for students interested in competitive programs or those hoping to keep their options open while planning for scholarships, residence and program selection.
Scholarship Deadline: March 1, 2026
Students who have been admitted to UNB must complete the general scholarship application by March 1 to be considered for most entrance scholarships and awards. One application covers the majority of available funding. High school students with an 80% average or higher are guaranteed a scholarship if they apply. This is a key deadline for students finalizing their post-secondary plans. To help students and families understand the process, UNB is hosting a virtual scholarships session tonight, Wednesday, February 11th.
Future Student Events
This winter, we’re hosting a variety of virtual and in-person events for future students. Whether your students have already received an offer or are just starting to explore, these events are a great way to discover more about academics, student life and the many supports available at UNB. You can find all the event dates on our future students event page. In addition, we will be hosting virtual faculty evenings for specific programs and faculties. These sessions allow students to connect directly with professors, ask questions and explore programs in more depth. As always, students who attend will receive an application fee waiver.
