NBCC is sharing information about the upcoming 12 week Heavy Equipment Operator program scheduled for the Fredericton/Woodstock area, beginning September 8, 2026.
This program provides students with the knowledge and practical skills required for activity and production work related to earth, gravel, and rock movement in a competitive industry environment. Participants will receive extensive hands-on training operating heavy equipment while developing an understanding of workplace safety, relevant legislation, preventative maintenance, basic repairs, and industrial safety practices.
Equipment training includes:
- Loader
- Dozer
- Excavator
- Grader
- Backhoe
- Compact Roller
Prerequisites:
- High School Diploma, Adult High School Diploma, or GED (High School Equivalency Diploma),
or - Essential Skills Achievement Pathway: Post-Secondary Entry High School,
or - Apply as a Mature Student
