This Memorial Scholarship Fund was created in 1990 by the Board of Directors of Potatoes New Brunswick in
memory of Maurice Daigle.
Maurice Daigle was a potato producer that lost his life as result of an accident at the age of 36. Maurice, along with
his two brothers, farmed in the Saint-André area on a mixed farm (potatoes, grain and beef cattle). In addition to
farming, Maurice was heavily involved in the advancement of agriculture and was a director on the board of Potatoes
New Brunswick for several years.
The Maurice Daigle Memorial Scholarship Fund is given annually to kin of eligible potato farmers in the province of
New Brunswick who are pursuing post secondary education in agriculture or agriculture related fieid of study
