Beginning Fall 2027, Dalhousie’s Bachelor of Computer Science will offer six new majors, giving students more opportunities to shape their studies around their interests and career goals:
- Human-Computer Interaction — Design technology around the people who use it.
- Cybersecurity — Protect the digital systems and information we depend on.
- Artificial Intelligence — Build, train and deploy AI to tackle real-world challenges.
- Algorithms & Scientific Computing — Use advanced computational thinking to solve complex scientific and global challenges.
- Software Development — Build the systems and platforms that power the digital world.
- Digital Innovation — Turn emerging technologies and ideas into meaningful change.
These majors reflect the growing role of computer science across industries—from healthcare, climate science and business to entertainment, cybersecurity and beyond.
