We’re so excited to welcome students to the Dalhousie community! They can join us on campus, virtually, or in a city near you for a celebration of their acceptance, key next steps, and a chance to meet new incoming students from your area. There will be limited edition #Dalbound swag as well as many prizes to be won. Resignation is here!

ACCEPTING OFFER


Please encourage your students to pay their non-refundable admission deposit to accept their offer by May 15 to guarantee their spot at Dalhousie.

RESIDENCE


Dalhousie offers a guaranteed spot in residence to new, direct-from-high-school students. To qualify, students must be accepted to Dal, paid their $200 admission deposit, and submitted their residence application by May 15. Room assignments will be emailed to your Dalhousie email beginning in late spring.

Applying to residence

  • Review Halifax and Truro residence living options
  • Pay the $200 CAD admission deposit
  • Log in to Dal Online using Net ID and click on ‘Web for Students’
  • Complete the ‘Residence Application’

Off-campus housing

There are many off-campus housing options within walking distance of campus or along popular bus routes. Meal plans are also available to students that choose to live off-campus.

INTERNATIONAL PATHWAY YEAR (IPY) PROGRAM


Are you assisting international students who need to complete grade 12 coursework and upgrade their English language skills to meet the requirements for admission to Dalhousie University? The eight-month International Pathway Year (IPY) Program is designed to help students complete a qualifying year and improve their English fluency to meet admission requirements for undergraduate studies at Dalhousie University. Eligible students will also be able to complete 1-2 credit courses that can later be applied to their degree. After successful completion of the IPY Program, students will directly enter their chosen undergraduate program at Dalhousie.
