Prospective students interested in applying to Dalhousie can start their applications as early as October 15. There will be introducing a brand-new application system aimed at streamlining and simplifying the application process for prospective students. The previous application portal may have posed some challenges, and this new system has been designed with students in mind. Here’s what students can look forward to with our improved application process:
- Effortless Document Submission: Students can now conveniently attach all your official or unofficial transcripts and required documentation directly to your application portal. Whether you have PDFs or screenshots, our system accommodates various file formats.
- Simplified Program Selection: Choosing students’ desired program of study is now a lot more straightforward. Allowing them to select the program that aligns with their academic goals.
- Improved Processing Time: For programs that do not follow a pooled admission process, students can expect fasters processing times. This means their application will be reviewed and decisions will be made more swiftly, allowing them to plan their academic journey efficiently.
Applications submitted between now and January 31st will be considered for “Early Admission.”
Early Admission entails a comprehensive evaluation of students’ academic potential, including a review of their grade 11 marks as indicators of future performance in year 12. To review the general admission requirements, please visit our dedicated page at dal.ca/generaladmissionrequirements.
*Please note: Admission to many programs at Dalhousie is competitive; meeting the minimum average does not guarantee admission.
Courses not required for admission to your student’s program (electives) must have grades of 60% or higher to qualify as one of your five academic classes.
