Ensure that you read the job advertisement carefully. It outlines the employer expectations, as well as other items that will need to be identified within your cover letter and resume.
To apply for positions within NBTAP, please ensure that you include the following information:
Complete a Cover Letter: Ensure your cover letter contains the Competition Number and Job Title, found at the Top of the Job Advertisement. Without this information, your information will not go into the correct file for consideration.
Within your cover letter, ensure that you also include two other skilled trade areas of interest. If your first choice is not available for you, we will attempt to accommodate you within another employment area.
Resume: Current resume
References: Provide three references. Please include their full contact information (first and last name, email, and phone number). If you are using a reference, please be sure you contact them to inform them.
Interview: Employers will select the students, based on cover letters and resumes received, for an interview process. The interviews can be either in-person or virtual, based upon the employer’s request. Students should spend time practicing for an interview and researching the company.
Mandatory Training: Successful NBTAP students will be provided with mandatory, workplace ready training (some will be in-person, others virtual), outside of school hours. These will be completed prior to commencing employment. Employers may have further orientation training requirements to be completed. This is for your safety.
Employment Commencement Date: July 2nd, 2024
